Mission & Vision

Aligned Holistics has changed throughout it’s journey. What started as a coaching services company dedicated to wellness has grown to a psychotherapy practice focused on trauma and resilience.

As leaders in effecting change it behooves us to practice what we teach. We credit our ability to embrace change as the driving force behind the high-quality services we provide. From coaching to therapy, we question when others accept. We research when others acquiesce. And most importantly, we love what we do. Personal development is not our work, it’s our mission.

Mental health is a right, not a privilege. Yet quality access is not granted to all. Systemic barriers should never prevent us from accessing the quality care we deserve.  That’s why Amita devotes 30% of her practice to sliding scale clients.

I strive to provide a culturally sensitive environment where clients can explore their relationships, careers, and identity. Together we'll develop solutions to help you feel greater ease and fulfillment across every dimension of your life.

I’m the first to admit that I’m not the right therapist for everyone. If you’re looking for someone to endlessly agree with you, I’m probably not the right person. If, however, you’re ready to be challenged and willing to work just as hard as I am to achieve your goals, then we’re likely a good fit.

Drawing on principles from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology and coaching, we’ll partner to identify the thoughts and behaviors that get in your way. You’ll develop skills and tools that will help you now and in the future. Together, we’ll cultivate the innate abilities that make you uniquely you.

BACKGROUND
My career has focused on helping others to succeed at the individual, family, and institutional levels. My previous experience ranges from fundraising for human rights and health organizations, to wellness and career coaching, to providing crisis counseling and therapy for adults and teenagers. In addition to my clinical work with psychotherapy clients, I volunteer to help immigrant teens seek asylum, lead a time management course, and teach trauma-informed yoga. I enjoy playing with my dog, dancing, and spending time outdoors.

The relationship, or “fit,” between you and I is just as important as my expertise.

I can’t expect you to open up in session without knowing anything about me, it wouldn’t be fair.

So whether you’re looking to see if we’re a good fit, or simply cautiously curious.
